This project is born from the inexpected chance of discovering a real and paradoxical place, located in the south of Corsica, a space without a destination, where visible elements defy the common sense, suggesting in its unreasonable perspectives only a dreamlike and poetical experience.
For this exhibition, the Mobiüs’s Band realizes a series of images taken according to a determined principle intended to form a closed circuit and associates with Florian Enault, computer engineer, to create an interactive device: Ride around square garden.
Cycling is the means of transport that allows you to ride through this topo-photographic trajectory. As that the visitor activates pedaling the rotating movement and the rhythmic scrolling of the images, that offer no way out and confine this trip to the paradox of wandering and confinement. revealing this place as a third space that takes shape, pictures by pictures in the form of a closing circuit surrounded by the vegetation. This device can not be operated by retreating, we must follow the direction of the march of a circular and repetitive time.
This cycling experience is completed by a composition of photographs taken by Jean Froment, mosaic of lateral clues..
